Zana Baykal is a research assistant and PhD student in Middle East Institute of Sakarya University. He got his M.A. degree from Middle East Research Institute of Marmara University Istanbul. He is interested in Kurdish Studies and writes "The Kurds" in the Middle East Yearbook ever year. He has visited Iraqi Kurdish region for field researches.
